Dance & Movement Therapy - healing body, emotions & energy

Heal your body & soul through dance

Prosperity Health London - Dance Movement Therapy
"Don't dance to be perfect. Dance to be real"
[Pina Bausch]

Welcome to a deeply embodied journey back home – to your breath, your body and your true self. These individual sessions blend somatic therapy (SRSJE), conscious breathing, intuitive movement and dance-based practices to help you process emotions, release tension and reconnect with your inner compass.

It’s a gentle yet profound way of working with your body and nervous system – one that helps you feel rather than overthink, move through instead of hold in.

WHAT DOES SRSJE MEAN?

SRSJE™ is a somatic method I created, based on years of experience in body-based healing and emotional work. It’s a five-step journey that helps you come back to your body, your truth, and your wholeness.

SRSJE™ stands for:

S – Somatic Recognition

Feeling what’s present in the body, without analysis or judgment.

R – Release & Rhythm

Letting go of tension through organic movement and nervous system support.

S – Stillness & Safety

Creating space for pause, calm, and integration.

J – Journey into Self

Rebuilding your connection with your body, boundaries and authentic identity.

E – Emotional Expression

Giving voice and movement to what has been suppressed – through breath,

sound, dance or intuitive motion.

This method blends movement, breath, body awareness and emotional release – so you can finally come home to yourself.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Anyone who:

  • feels tension, emotional overwhelm or disconnect,

  • is navigating a life transition, burnout, grief or emotional fatigue,

  • wants to feel more at home in their body and deepen intuition,

  • is experiencing difficulties in relationships (with self or others),

  • needs support moving through heartbreak, anxiety, loneliness

       or emotional dependencies,

  • wants to reconnect with feminine (or masculine) energy

       and reclaim their full presence.

HOW WE WORK:

  • Using the SRSJE™ method (Somatic Recognition, Safe Grounding, Expressive

       Release and Emotional Integration),

  • Through body, breath, movement, stillness and deep sensing,

  • In a supportive, non-judgmental space,

  • Always attuned to the rhythm of your nervous system.

You don’t have to speak – unless you want to. Just come as you are. That is more than enough.

Sometimes one movement of the hips moves the whole life.

Dance My Passion!

"Dance, Dance otherwise we are lost"
/ Pina Bausch /

Dance has been my passion and life journey for over 27 years. For 16 years, I have dedicated myself to teaching contemporary dance, ballet, and contact improvisation, as well as creating choreographies. I’ve also had the privilege of co-curating a contemporary dance festival and serving as a jury member, gaining invaluable insights into the art of dance from various angles.

As a Reiki Master with 25 years of experience, I integrate a holistic approach to body, mind, and spirit into my dance teaching. Working with breath, body awareness, and energy is at the core of my methodology.

I believe spirituality in dance can be a profound tool for enhancing technical and creative growth for dancers and choreographers alike.

For me, dance is not only an art form but also a therapy—a space for emotions and deep expression.

I am deeply moved by contemporary performances that touch the most delicate strings of human sensitivity. Art, and especially dance, holds a unique vibration for me, with the power to transform not only individuals but entire communities.

In my work, I combine knowledge of body awareness, spirituality, and energy dynamics with dance practice, both in teaching dance techniques and in creative choreography.

My mission is to support dancers in achieving full integration of body, mind, and spirit, enabling them to thrive as joyful and conscious creators.

My Arstistic Path in Dance

dance

I am an experienced contemporary dance teacher, choreographer, and creator of innovative methods that integrate dance with spirituality. My professional journey spans over 25 years of dance practice and 16 years of teaching experience.

I hold a BA in Health and Social Prevention Pedagogy, with a focus on the therapeutic application of dance in education. My thesis, “The Therapeutic Use of Dance by Educators: A Case Study,” explored the transformative power of movement. I also earned a Higher National Diploma in Contemporary Dance, completing a dissertation titled “Modern and Postmodern Dance and Their Influence on Contemporary Dance in Poland.” Additionally, I pursued a year-long (1 of 2) postgraduate study in Ballet and Dance Theory at The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

My experience includes collaborations with theaters, dance schools, and artistic institutions in Poland and internationally. I choreograph for festivals, competitions, and theatrical productions, while teaching and leading workshops for dancers of all levels. I specialize in contemporary dance, and improvisation, and my holistic approach to teaching combines technical precision with emotional exploration, body awareness, and the spiritual dimensions of movement. I am deeply inspired by opportunities to work with universities and colleges worldwide, bringing innovative perspectives to dance education and practice.

Dance & Spirituality

Dance and spirituality are two worlds that complement and enrich each other in my life. For twenty-six years, I have danced, and for twenty-four years, I have delved into spirituality. I could never choose which path is more important to me because both are integral parts of who I am. As a Reiki Master, spiritual therapist, and spiritualist, I combine various techniques of spiritual healing with my passion for dance, giving me a unique ability to work with the body and energy in a deeply transformative way.

Spirituality brings a new perspective and awareness to my dance – it allows me to see it as a creative, expressive, and meaningful form. In return, dance, through movement and improvisation, provides me with a tool to integrate this knowledge and experience in a physical way. Contemporary dance, the Five Rhythms, Argentine Tango – these forms of movement become a meditation in action for me, as well as a space for personal transformation.

By merging dance with spirituality, I discover an entirely new dimension of creativity and teaching, where every movement holds deep meaning, and each step leads to greater harmony.

Dance & spirituality

It’s a journey towards full integration of body, mind, and spirit, opening doors to new possibilities, both personally and creatively.

Heart Coherence in dance education – Impact on Dance Creation & Creativity

Sacred Dance - Joanna Ciurkowska

Heart Coherence is a state where the heart’s rhythm synchronizes with the body’s other systems, leading to inner harmony.

Research conducted by the Heart Math Institute shows that achieving heart coherence significantly influences emotions, concentration, and creativity. In the context of dance education, heart coherence can change the way students experience the creative process, as well as how they create and perform dance. In dance teaching, heart coherence helps increase body awareness and spatial perception, allowing for better synchronization with a partner and within a group, as well as enhancing empathy and mutual understanding between teacher and student.

Studies show that through practices improving heart coherence, such as meditation and breathing techniques, students can improve the quality of their dance, become more open to expressing emotions, and be more aware of their bodies. Additionally, in choreography creation, heart coherence supports creative thinking and better perception.

Dancers who practice techniques that support heart coherence often experience “flow” – a state of full concentration and engagement in their actions. This, in turn, leads to higher-quality creative work, both in creating dance routines and in their performance.

Heart Math Institute’s research confirms that heart coherence supports emotional and psychological balance, as well as better stress management, which is crucial in the intense process of teaching and creating dance. Through this harmony, dancers and dance educators can work in a more integrated way, enhancing the effectiveness of education and creativity in dance.
